Day 1: Arriving in Bogota - Reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel located in the historical center of the city. Checking into the hotel. Free time in the evening to have a first insight into the atmosphere of the Colombian capital.

Day 2: In the morning, discover the city center of Bogotá. Walking around the capital, you will be led to the most authentic places in the city. The colonial center of La Candelaria is a place full of charm with its brightly colored houses, its balconies of carved wood and flowery patios. Visiting in the morning the Bolivar Plaza and the Chorro de Quevedo plaza with its artists and its colonial houses.
At midday, you will stop to enjoy a traditional lunch in the historical center. In the afternoon you will visit the Gold Museum where you can find the largest collection in Latin America of pre-Columbian gold objects, dating back over 30000, and beautiful emeralds.
You will also visit the Botero Museum which has a large collection of this famous Colombian artist’s works as well as other masterpieces by some of the greatest impressionist and modernist artists (entrance to the museum included).

Day 3: Collected from the hotel early for a transfer to the airport and a flight to Pereira. Upon arrival in Pereira you will be transfer to Salento, the home of the largest palm trees in the world. The rest of the afternoon free to explore the streets of Salento and the many artisans the shops have to offer. Evening free.

Day 4: After breakfast, collected early for a private birdwatching tour in the Cocora Valley. In the territory of the high Colombian mountains diversity in birds is impressive. The species that inhabit the high mountain territory are over 350, moving between the reserve forest areas where they find food and shelter. The presence of Palma de Cera in some forests allows the sighting of parrots, parakeets and high mountain toucans , while the seeds of trees such as Sietecueros attract many tanagers, flycatchers, woodpeckers and seedeaters. Large eagles and small hawks watch from the sky, while hurrying antpitta run through the forest floor. This is a spectacular day viewing the impressive wax palm trees alongside the incredible variety of birds and plants that this area has to display.

Day 5: In the morning collected for a horse-ride to the Santa Rita waterfall, during the ride you will cross rivers and pass through old abandoned tunnels. Heading back to Salento for lunch. In the afternoon you will then be collected for a transfer to a private coffee tour. Here you will learn about the complete process of the coffee production from the moment the bean is pick to when the coffee bean has been toasted. Heading back to the hotel in the evening.

Day 6: Morning free to explore the beautiful streets of Salento one final time. After lunch collected for a transfer to the airport and flight to Santa Marta. Upon arrival in Santa Marta transfer the hotel next to the Tayrona National Park. Afternoon relaxing and enjoying the beautiful location.

Day 7: After breakfast collected for a day trip to Tayrona national park. The park is located at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the highest coastal mountain in the world, you will visit some of the best bays and coves: Chengue, Gayraca, Cinto, Neguanje, Concha, Guachaquita, with their sandy white beaches surrounded by mangrove swamps, bushes and forests and bathed in the crystal clear water of the Caribbean sea. There are also options for walking, snorkeling and diving. The Park also has archeological ruins of an ancient city of the Tayrona people.
Heading back to the hotel in the evening.

Day 8: Morning free to relax in the beautiful hotel. In the afternoon you will be collected for a private transfer to Cartagena. Checking into the hotel and the rest of the afternoon free to relax and explore the colourful streets of the old town.

Day 9: In the morning collected from the hotel for a private walking tour around the historic centre of Cartagena. During this walk you will get to grips with Cartagena’s captivating history with a certified, bilingual guide to answer all your questions. You will meet some of the locals, hear some of the famous stories of the Cartagena's past and understand why Cartagena is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will then head back for lunch before the second tour in the afternoon explore a little more outside of the historic centre; the tour will last 4 hours and includes the following locations and details;
• Panoramic views of the city from atop the convent Cerro de La Popa
• Entry to San Felipe Castle

Day 10: Full day trip enjoying an unforgettable day aboard a private boat traveling from Cartagena to the Rosario Islands. You will snorkel in an amazing coral reef, relax on pristine white beaches and experience an underwater kingdom in the crystal-clear waters. Also traveling to Isla Grande, which is a beautiful untouched beach. Returning in the afternoon, the rest of the day free.
In the evening we have arranged a dinner in one of the top restaurants in Cartagena.

Day 11: Morning free to enjoy the hotel amenities and surroundings. In the afternoon catching a flight back to Bogota or see add on for trip to San Las.
